At the 2003 production we asked various questions, and the adults were invited to write children’s words where possible: What did they enjoy most about the show? Every single bit I enjoyed the way that they got into the sieve Quangle Wangle & Crumpety tree Mr & Mrs Canary Songs It was different to television I liked the story out of the book The Jumbly things Coats, saying who are you? Singing & dancing The shaking of hands by a Jumbly Best person was the boy Variety The boat and the music I like to dress up but I don’t usually do it to stories from books, I will now! Reading the story Girl who dyed her hair green & orange The music and singing the Orient Calf from the land of Tute The crumpety tree set Liked to join in. When they opened the boxes. Looking in the basket, the suitcases, the songs, everything! Kept focussed and interesting It was very funny Everything, lots of movement and unexpected events The rhyming words All of it. The very best was the Quangle Wangle and The Jumblies Just being there I think I liked all the nonsense words like Crumpety Tree. The whole thing I liked the music inside the cases and Stella and Stan Was his first time, bit afraid but he loved it The Book I think it was really funny. The poems were really funny. What was their favourite bit ? My favourite bit was when all the animals came to build their home on the Quangle-Wangles hat Want to come back again it was brilliant Evan enjoyed the different sounds most Frog! Every single bit The show was brilliant and we would like to come again The Tree At the beginning when they first met each other and were singing, “I’m Stella, I’m Stan” Quangle Wangle and his giant hat. Liked Stan being the Fimble Fowl Liked the boat beeping its horn Start of show had me laughing out loud Music, dancing, repetition – comedy at the beginning When they went to sea Dancing The music/songs and facial expressions Accordion When Stella & Stan said everything at the same time and when they first met. We really laughed a lot then! Dong with the luminous nose Right at the beginning Involved the audience really well Qwangle wangle with a deep voice When they opened the suitcases I liked it when the girl hid behind the curtain and the boy said, “Where are you?” The boy when he was doing the Jumblies When they did all the animals The story bits The boat bit, the little people Sounds and puppet things Silly dancing, funny people Clapping along to the music Animal impressions song – he still sings it! Jumbly, she had got used to the show & the kids and even started clapping I liked it when we got to join in To sea in a sieve! All the colours. The bits that rhyme. Luminous Dong Any other comments ? Can’t wait for next story Excellent, we’ll be back. Come to Ullapool please I liked the costumes When’s the next show? Great for their imagination Whole production captured their (& my) attention and imagination It was great I would have loved it if the Quangle Wangle was real. I would have loved to climb up the crumpety tree. Liked the animal song (stork, duck etc) Looking forward to the next Wee Stories theatre, Mums and children! Brilliant I would like a video of it. I wish I could be a princess! Brilliant, very cleverly put together I thought it was fabulous, thankyou! Thought the whole production was very good The grownups had a great time too! Jumblies and song with double bass Just Brilliant! Very enjoyable for all age groups It was wonderful, thankyou! I would like to come back again and again! Mum & Dad enjoyed it, plan to get hold of the poems & start a dressing up chest Excellent show. I would definitely take him to see a theatre show again. We couldn’t improve on the content and actors were first rate We all (myself inc) really enjoyed the show. The sheets (prog) were a great success. I hope you will extend the age range of your shows so we can continue coming! Liked the music. I stamped my feet! Very entertaining and the music really made it I liked it when the lady was a Duck!
